WAY$ AND MEAN$
Our used book sale was a great success! We earned $367 from book sales to our members and Burke’s Bookstore
bought an additional $80 worth of books, bringing the book sale total to $447.
I can't begin to express my thanks to Paulette Bourdon, Cheri Campbell, Janice Goldrick, Pat Hagen, new member Joy Harvey,
Betty Hinkel, Karen Lind, Marcia Maitin, Anne Messenger, Suzanne Middleton, Ann Miller, Kathy Schumer, Lynda Thomas, Leesa
Travis, and Julia Williams for all their hard work the day of the sale. This wonderful spirit of cooperation and willingness
to pitch in and help embodies the ideals of what New Neighbors is all about!
Thank you also to our members who donated more than 700 books for the sale. Whether you were able to donate one or two
books from your collection or 148 as Ann Miller did, every donation is sincerely appreciated. Special thanks to Marlene Deal
for lending us her cashbox for the sale.
The list of contributors to our Phantom Holiday Ball Charity Fundraiser is in included this newsletter. Thanks to everyone
for your generous contributions. Your donations are important to each of our charities.
